Algots Varv AB was established in 1947 and has been active in the production
and delivery of many ship constructions since then.
Today the shipyard is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ecker?injen AB of
Mariehamn, Åland. Our main activities include:
- New construction
- Dry docking maintenance of ships
- Refurbishment, modifications and addition construction of ships and
boats.
The shipyard is located in the middle of the Baltic seas, in Mariehamn in the
Åland Island archipelago. The total workforce is 35 persons with a large
exterior pool of experienced contractors.
Work carried out on the ships are performed in a newly refurbished and
lengthened dry dock, 130 x 22 meters and 5.5 meters draught, and a slipway
suitable for tonnage up to 1000 tonnes. Alternatively when dry docking is no
needed our piers are utilized.
