Please propose a tug for an ouyright purchase.Detailed specs of the
tug we are looking for are placed in below.

Ideal if U could find an existing vsl.with correct specs. Even a vsl coming
close to these specs can be tried with the customer.
   
If below are not found, even a vsl to be constructed can be considered AND
THERE IS PROVISION TO IT.

THE IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE IN THIS MATTER ARE:

1. WERE CAPABLE OF SECURING THE PURCHASE PROVIDEDA SUITABLEVSL IS FOUND.

2. OFFERS CAN BE ACCEPTED TILL 20TH JUNE 2002.HOWEVER INTERESTED TO KNOW
POSSIBILITIES BY ABOUT 15TH MAY.

PROPOSED SPECIFICATION OF THE VESSEL FOR MAINTENANCE EMERGENCY RESPONSE WORK 
CONNECTED WITH THE SPBM


The vessel shall comply with the following requirements.

Item No. (1)	Dimensions

¡§	Length overall less than sixty metres  (66 m)
¡§	Breadth moulded about ten metres  (10 m)
¡§	Depth moulded about four metres (4 m)
¡§	Length between the main winch and stern to be in the range of twenty 
to thirty five metres (20m to 35 m)
¡§	The vessel shall have a stern roller or rounded stern flush with deck 
and a rounded hull.

Item No. (2) 	Propulsion

Twin screw propulsion system with main engines developing a total BHP of 
minimum 3000(Three Thousand)		

The vessels continuous static bollard pull shall be no less than 30 MT.

Bow Thruster minimum three hundred and fifty (350) BHP continuous rating. Bow 
thruster to be operated independent of all other machinery.

Item No. (3) 	Year of Construction

	1997 (Keel laid 1997 or later)

Item No. (4) 	Speed

	Free running speed of minimum ten (10) knots.

Item No. (5) 	Generators 

Two main generators and one auxiliary generator to be available and capacities 
to be stated. 230 volts and 400 volts power outlets to be available. 

    
Item No. (6)	Deck Requirements

(a)	Deck crane must

(i).	Be located for handling equipment from deck area 
				and
(ii).	Be capable of carrying a minimum of 5 MT at six metres (6m) from the 
ship¡¯s side.




(b)	¡®A¡¯ Frame

Articulated 3 MT SWL ¡®A¡¯ frame at stern. ¡®A¡¯ frame and attachments shall be 
collapsible to deck level.

		¡®A¡¯ Frame to be designed to accommodate work close to 
tanker.

¡®A¡¯ frame shall be capable of working to a minimum of two and a half meters 
(2.5 m) outward from stern end of the vessel.
	
(c)	Main deck winch.

Min. twenty five (25) MT capacity, which should operate at full capacity.

(d)	Tugger winch.

Two (02) Nos. min five (05) MT each, should operate at full capacity. Tugger 
winches shall be located in the main deck on port and starboard sides closer to 
the inner end of the main deck.

(e)	Forecastle head winch and bollards: to handle tail hose and ropes.

(f)	Forecastle bollards should be of sufficient strength to pull the 
tanker off the buoy.

(g)	Adequate lighting for work on deck and aft deck and two (02)   Nos. 
ten inch (10¡±) search lights.

(h)	Anti Pollution Equipment.

Seven point five (7.5) metres minimum length spray booms port and starboard 
with independent pumps and tanks for dispersant minimum four thousand (4,000) 
litres capacity.   Spraying capacity minimum 150 lit/minute as an over-the-bow 
spraying system.  Additional hand sprayers to be provided.  Spray system shall 
have facility to draw direct from dispersant drum.

(i)	Inflatable run-about

02 Nos. inflatable run-about six men capacity with 25-40HP petrol outboard 
motor.

(j)	Accommodation for supernumaries-1 x singe berth cabin 
            and 2 x 2 berth cabin minimum.

(k)	Air compressors and other equipment

Air compressor 8 Kg/cm x 150 cfm to be provided.
Welding equipment up to 300 amp and oxy-acetylene cutting facility to be 
provided.
Separate compressor for charging aqua-lung bottles to be provided.

(l)	Adequate storage space for SPBM maintenance equipment and materials.

(m)	An opening to be provided on bulwark on main deck on both port and 
starboard sides.

Item No. (7)	- Slop Tank.

Slop tank of min. 60 cubic metres capacity should be available and arranged to 
receive oil spilled on deck or skimmed oil and fitted with suitable discharge 
pump. Slop tank to have flange opening on deck to receive oil.

Item No. (8)	Bow Anchors: 02 Nos.

Item No. (9)	Fire Fighting Equipment.

Fire monitor with high pressure fire fighting pump to be available on board for 
immediate use in case of an external fore.  Foam monitor to  be provided.


Item No. (10)	Coastal Transport of Fuel

Preference will be given to vessels having adequate calibrated tankage to 
transport 500m of oil products (pumpable volume) and the pumping rate should be 
above 100 M/hr.  Thje coastal transport tankage should be isolated from the 
ship¡¯s bunker tankage.

Item No. (11)	ISM requirements

	Vessel shall comply with ISM requirements.

Item No.  (12)	The vessel shall have the following valid certificates on 
board.

1.	Certificate of Register
2.	Loading Certificate
3.	Safety Equipment Certificarte
4.	Safcon Certificate
5.	Safety Certificate with ship station license (GMDSS)
6.	International Oil Pollution Prevention (IOPP) Certificate.
7.	Crtificate of classification of hull and machinery.
8.	Builder¡¯s Certificate.
9.	Recent (not more that 3 months from date to closing tender) 
Certificate of Continuous Bollard Pull Certificate certified by a 
Classification Society listed in item 13 below.
10.	Manning Certificate with

(a)	Cargo gear certificate for cranes and winches (chain register)
(b)	Stability booklet approved by class.
(c)	Tank calibration tables for all tanks approved by class.
