Harbor tug boat 22 meters
Design
This is a modern seagoing twin screw tug, series built in steel to standard
design. A spacious superstructure on the fore deck offers living quarters for a
crew up to 15 persons and leaves a large fore and aft deck.
Two marine diesel engines, with a total power ranging from 3500 to 4525 hp, are
each driving a fixed pitch propeller in a fixed nozzle.
The single chine hull and superstructure are built for heavy duty.
The 10 mm hull plating, heavy fendering and the combination of transverse and
longitudinal frames, enables the vessel to withstand heavy impact forces.
Special attention, given to the hull design, ensures excellent stability and
maneuverability.
The design meets the requirements of classification societies such as Lloyd's
Register of Shipping and Bureau Veritas?ect .
Basic functions:
Mooring, towing and firefighting operations also serve in salvage duties.
Dimensions:
Length over all: 22 meters (?2)

Propulsion systems:
?Two air-started non-reversible diesel engines are installed
?The two main engines of total power 4000 kw
?The engine controls and alarms are in accordance with the rules of
class
Electrical installation:
The vessel should be provided with the following electrical systems:
?-380 v, 50 Htz, 3phase
?-230 v, 50 Htz, single phase
?24 v, direct current
The main electrical power is supplied by:-
?two main diesel generator sets
?one emergency generating set
?shore supply
?The main generators are suitable for parallel operation.

?fully equipped accommodation for total 15 persons (crew)
?All accommodation areas are completely air conditioned and well
ventilated.
Hull materials and testing
The hull including all superstructures is to be constructed of grade A steel
(min. tensile strength 400 N/mm? and constructed with a transverse and
longitudinal frame system.
All structural steel used for the construction of the Vessel and machinery
including forgings and castings shall be of good marine engineering quality and
not less than Class Grade A, tested, Inspected and certified as and when
required by Class, and shall be in conformity with Class Requirements. All
steel shall be free from cracks, laminations and similar defects.
The aft deck arrangement is strengthened for loads up to 5 tons/m?
All materials, scantlings, equipment, welding and workmanship comply with class
requirements
Deck arrangement
The superstructure and bulwark are placed well inboard to prevent damage when
coming alongside and to provide ample gangway. On the foredeck an anchor winch,
a towing bit, flush forepeak entrance manholes and an accommodation escape
hatch on a raised coaming are fitted.
The aft deck offers ample space for deck loads and optional equipment.
A heavy cross beam towing bit and a store hatch are fitted.
For fire fighting purposes a monitor platform can be fitted between the funnels
at the aft side of the wheelhouse.
