Specifications For Self-Propelled Fuel Barge

1. Engine: General Motors (GM) or Caterpillar type 
Two diesel engines on twin shafting train 
450 BTA total output of 900 ?1000 HP @ 1400 rpm or above 
Each engine must have its own keel cooling system calculated for severe 
tropical conditions. 
Speed = 12 ?18 knots; Free running speed 16 knots approx. or more 
Auto shot down on oil pressure and water temperature higher than normal 
Age limit is from 1998 to date.
 
2. Tank and Cargo Load Capacity: Double hull tank 
Must be of steel material with marine grade A standard 
1000 cubic meters or 1000 metric tons of fuel cargo load capacity
 
3. Accommodation/Cabins: Minimum of 2 crew cabins for 4 persons 
Minimum of 1 crew cabin for 2 persons 
Toilets/showers/wash basins 
Galley/Mess room to accommodate minimum of 5 persons 
Kitchenette with electric cooker, oven and sinks
 
4. Others: Two fuel tanks, suitable for endurance of minimum of 14 days with a 
total capacity of 3000 liters of fuel. Tanks are to be equipped with manholes 
and sight glasses with self-closing valve. 
Painting of plating and sections to be sand, water or grit blasted to grade SA-
21/2 and primed. 
Electrical system to be 24V ?D.C for emergency and 220V, 60 HZ for normal 
supplies. Equipment, cables terminals and fixtures to be of good quality and 
suitable for the marine environment. 
Minimum of 20KVA generator and (2) 24V-200 A.H. lead ?acid batteries, charged 
by means of main engine driven alternators. 
Standard navigation and safety equipment/tools.
