ALMAZ Shipbuilding Company in co-operation with Marine Systems
Division of
world famous SUKHOY Design Bureau has large successful practice of
developing
and building custom-build high-speed craft and boats upon quite
specific
request indicated specifications. ALMAZ is able to undertake not only
construction basing on existing design documentation, but also a
developing
project starting from idea of the vessel.
The ALMAZ Shipbuilding facilities situated in the central part of St.-
Petersburg with free access to Finnish Gulf and cover about 165000
sq.m
including about 50000 sq.m covered by well equipped workshops. Three
building
halls and about 1000 of employees enable to build steel and aluminium
hulls,
effectively undertake outfitting works and machinery installation
completely
under cover. The new unique building hall of 150m long and 60m wide
allows
increasing the maximum displacement from 700 up to 1500 tons and
covering the
sector of large fast car-passenger ferries. Two floating docks of
3000/1000
tons lifting / launching capacity effectively provide launching and
lifting
processes. The Yard has at its disposal well-equipped mechanical
workshop,
which manufactures propeller shafts and other mechanical parts.
Except shipbuilding division the company fulfils unique orders for
constructing
highly precise metal constructions of steel of all types, of
different
aluminium alloys, of titanium and other construction material.
