As a subsidiary of SNR Holding, Istanbul Shipyard has the justified pride of
being the demanded shipyard on naval and off-shore vessels, as well as the
commercial ones. Coupling with the Holding's other subsidiaries like Yýldýrým
Shipyard and ABS Metal Factory, the annual steel processing capacity is 13.200
tons with 5 slipways.
Our shipyard, with the experience on Naval Projects, has recently completed the
modernization of four SAR boats belonging to the Turkish Coast Guard. Having the
project delivered long before the deadline and with higher performance than
contracted, showed the Shipyard's quality and reliability. From now on we would
like to point out that our Shipyard is interested in all kinds of naval projects.
Following the international markets closely, our shipyard intends to be
successful on diversifying projects, just like we have done before. We are the
first builders of IMO II chemical tankers with stainless steel cargo tanks in
Turkey. We have also delivered a Norwegian company an offshore ROV Survey Vessel
with remarkable accomplishment. Our costumer's use of option for their
continuing orders shows our quality and customer satisfaction. Success of our
in-house design department on original project development keeps us one step
ahead of our competitors.
Istanbul Shipyard is one of the models in the area for its management and
organizational understanding about occupational health and safety. Our vision
requires us to keep the working area free from accidents and protect the
environment and also being proud of the work that is done. With the ISO
9001:2000 Quality Certificate from Lloyds' Register, NATO Secret Facility
Security Clearance Certificate and National Secret Facility Security Clearance
Certificate; our shipyard works strictly in accordance with the national and
international regulations, as well as European Union acquisition. With the
"Handbook for Occupational Health and Safety" and "Shipyard Quality Manual", all
industrial standards within IACS and ILO are followed. Our shipyard considers
continual development as the main principle and monitors the development of the
system via the ERP backbone established all around the planning and production
processes.
